Located in the heart of the
blue water paradise of Port Stephens ‘Di
and Jim’s B&B’ is just an easy stroll
to nearby Bagnalls Beach. There are so many options
for having
either
a relaxing or busy stay.
Walk West along the beautiful
beach to the 5 star Anchorage Resort and take in a magnificent
sunset. Walk East from Bagnalls Beach
all the way to the marina at Nelson Bay with
shops and restaurants galore.
From the marina your options are endless with pleasure
boats offering everything from a 2 hour dolphin cruise
(the kids will love the boom net and slippery dip
off the side
of
the boat!); a ferry ride to Tea Gardens (with the
best fish and
chips at the pub) or a day cruise to the pristine
Broughton Island where you will see an abundance
of wildlife and
the most beautiful beach you can ever imagine!
From June to November
you can experience what Port Stephens is world
famous for… whale
spotting! Travel out the heads and follow the whales
while they make their annual migration
up and down the Pacific Coast.
For those who like adventure
try your luck deep sea fishing or perhaps scuba
diving, kayaking or even take a helicopter
ride along our spectacular coastline. June
is also the time of our annual Country Music Festival.
A walk to the top of spectacular
Tomaree Mountain is a must. This is an easy
one hour walk - even for the kids and oldies!
On the way down you can take a detour to see
the
gunnery ruins, American relics from the Second
World War.
Fingal Bay with its
beautiful family surf beach is another must.
From here take a walk along the beach over
The Spit
(at low tide only!) to explore Fingal Island
and the
old
lighthouse. And
then if you have any time remaining… visit
Stockton Sand Dunes where the action and activities
are endless – camel
rides, sand boarding, 4 wheel drive tours or
just slide down the dunes on an old piece of
cardboard.
Not to mention our very
own wineries that you pass on your way into
town. If all
else fails, jump in our spa, read a book and
just relax!
